Google is using a new AI model called DolphinGemma, in collaboration with the Wild Dolphin Project, to analyze and potentially communicate with dolphins through their sounds. By utilizing Pixel phones for data collection and analysis, researchers aim to understand dolphin language better and develop a communication system that dolphins can comprehend and respond to. The AI model will be made available as an open resource for researchers worldwide.
