Blue Origin, founded by Jeff Bezos, plans to deploy 5,408 satellites for a new communications network called TeraWave, targeting enterprise and government users. Amazon successfully launched its first batch of 27 Kuiper internet satellites, marking the beginning of its Project Kuiper aimed at competing with Starlink. The company plans to deploy a total of 1,618 satellites by mid-2026 and has committed up to $10 billion to develop the network, with commercial services expected to begin later this year.
