Amazon successfully launched its first batch of 27 Kuiper internet satellites, marking the beginning of its Project Kuiper aimed at competing with Starlink. The company plans to deploy a total of 1,618 satellites by mid-2026 and has committed up to $10 billion to develop the network, with commercial services expected to begin later this year.
