xAI raised $20 billion in a Series E funding round, exceeding its $15 billion goal. The funds will support the development of its AI infrastructure and various products, including Grok Voice and Grok Imagine, as well as enterprise offerings like Grok Business and Vault.

Anthropic has restricted xAI's access to its Claude models used for coding, a move aimed at reducing competition. xAI cofounder Tony Wu acknowledged that while this will impact productivity, it will also drive their team to develop their own coding solutions.

Elon Musk's xAI is set to launch Grok 4, skipping the previously planned Grok 3.5, with new features focusing on enhanced natural language processing, math, and coding capabilities. The Grok 4 model will also introduce features for vision and image generation, allowing developers to utilize it as a coding companion through the xAI Console.
