Visa recently released its 2025 Creator Report at the Web Summit, highlighting the increasing significance of digital creators in the global economy. The report, conducted with Morning Consult, surveyed over 1,000 TikTok creators across five regionsβ the U.S., Brazil, Australia, the U.K., and the U.A.E. Key findings show that 88% of creators anticipate revenue growth in the coming year. Many rely on personal funds and crowdfunding, indicating a demand for financial products tailored specifically for their needs. The report underscores creators' global reach, with 52% receiving payments from outside their home countries.
In conjunction with the report, Visa announced plans for a pilot program with Karat Financial, a fintech focused on creators. This initiative aims to address common financial challenges faced by creators, such as managing accounts receivable and payable. Proposed tools include smarter payment automation, automated reminders for late invoices, and a trusted database for buyer and supplier information. These solutions are designed to simplify the business side of content creation, helping creators manage their finances more effectively.
