Netflix has launched a redesigned experience for kids' profiles across its platform, aiming to enhance usability and help young viewers find content they enjoy more quickly. The new design features a simplified homepage with an updated navigation bar that includes a dedicated "My Netflix" section. This section consolidates all the shows and movies kids have watched, saved, or liked, making it easier for them to return to their favorites.
The update mirrors a redesign for standard profiles introduced in May, which included AI-powered search tools and improved recommendations. Now, kids' profiles will also feature real-time refreshed recommendations, which should help reduce the time spent searching for shows. Key elements like Character Themed Rows and parental controls remain unchanged, ensuring that familiar features are still accessible for families.
In addition to these changes, Netflix announced various new features, including real-time voting and live party games. A new show titled "Star Search" will incorporate real-time voting, following tests with another program, "Dinner Time Live with David Chang." The updated user interface is designed to accommodate a broader range of content, particularly interactive formats.
