Google has restricted access for free users of Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro due to high demand. Free users now face fluctuating daily limits and can only generate two images per day with Nano Banana Pro. The company also temporarily rolled back access to new features for free users while implementing additional limits for Pro users.

Google has tightened access for free users of its Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro services due to high demand. Initially, free users could submit up to five prompts per day and generate or edit three images daily with Nano Banana Pro. However, the latest update limits free users to "Basic access," where daily usage may fluctuate. This likely signals a reduction in available resources, as users now face a hard cap of two images per day for Nano Banana Pro.
In addition to the changes for free users, Google has temporarily restricted access to new features like Nano Banana Pro-powered Infographics and Slide Decks for free accounts. Pro users also face new limitations. Infographics allow users to create visual summaries with various customization options, while Slide Decks cater to different presentation needs, offering detailed decks or streamlined presenter slides. Despite these adjustments, Google has not altered the usage limits for the Gemini app's Pro or Ultra plans.
