Kristel Bechara, an artist based in Dubai, focuses on female empowerment and creativity through her vibrant artwork, which combines traditional and digital methods. Her latest exhibition, "A Symphony of Shadows and Light," marks a retrospective of her 15-year artistic journey. The exhibition transforms her paintings into animated projections through collaboration with motion designer Viktor Lukacs. It consists of five chapters that reflect Bechara's personal experiences, exploring topics from creativity's early sparks to mythology and female strength. Chapter 4, titled "Strength in Struggles," introduces a character called "The Voyageur," a female explorer who travels through imagined realms, breaking conventional narratives. The exhibition invites viewers to engage with their own stories, culminating in a reflective space called Imaginarium. Recently, "A Symphony of Shadows and Light" was featured in the immersive digital art experience 3MERSIVE at Kanvas in Dubai, showcasing Bechara's work alongside artists Kati Katona and András Nagy. The combination of light and motion in this setting enhanced the emotional impact of her art, providing a unique experience for attendees.
