Apple has reopened its Sainte-Catherine store in downtown Montreal after relocating to a larger space within a historic building. The new store more than doubles the size of its previous location, allowing for an expanded presence in the area. Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and People, expressed excitement about the long-standing relationship with the Montreal community and emphasized the store as a destination to experience Apple’s products and customer support.
The renovation of the historic building reflects Apple’s commitment to maintaining original architectural features while integrating modern retail design. The updated store includes accessibility improvements, such as varied table heights and wider routes for wheelchair access. The building’s façade has been restored using local stone and copperwork, preserving its historical significance.
To celebrate the reopening, local illustrator Catherine Potvin held live art demonstrations using an iPad, creating custom illustrations for customers' retail bags. She will return for additional sessions on January 17.
