Story Copilot is an AI-chat interface designed to streamline the process of building and managing stories in Tines, such as agents and automations. It uses natural language to help users troubleshoot issues, update credentials, and understand existing workflows. This tool is available to all Tines tenants, including those using the Community Edition and the new Starter Edition aimed at small businesses. Notably, using Story Copilot does not consume run-time AI credits, allowing users to manage costs effectively. Tines emphasizes user control over AI interactions. Users can select which AI model to utilize, including their own, and permissions for Story Copilot reflect the user's existing access levels. If a user can only view a storyboard, for example, they won't be able to create or edit it through Story Copilot. Tines is encouraging users to test Story Copilot extensively until April 16, 2026, when they plan to evaluate usage patterns and costs. Initial feedback from internal testing has been positive. Users reported that the tool significantly reduced the time needed to demonstrate value during client calls. Trevor Van Essen, a sales leader, noted how quickly they could map out a wireframe during a prospect call, while David Henry, a senior manager, expressed confidence in using Tines thanks to Story Copilot.
