This surge reflects its strong position as the preferred language in fields like artificial intelligence, data science, and back-end development. The data indicates that Python is becoming increasingly central to tech development, underscoring its versatility and user-friendliness. The survey data reveals insights into programming preferences among various groups. A total of 31,771 respondents, or 64.8%, identified languages they extensively worked with over the past year. Professional developers made up 24,759 of these respondents, representing 50.5%. In contrast, those learning to code, professionals using AI, and learners engaged with AI comprised smaller segments, with responses of 2,564 (5.2%), 20,810 (42.5%), and 1,945 (4%), respectively. This distribution highlights the growing interest in coding across different experience levels, especially among AI professionals. The data also hints at future trends. The desire to continue working with specific languages suggests an ongoing commitment to skills development in programming.
