The Linux Foundation has launched the Agentic AI Foundation, introducing three initial projects: Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), Block’s goose agent framework, and OpenAI’s AGENTS.md standard. Docker has joined this initiative as a Gold member, emphasizing its commitment to developing secure tools for developers. Now, it operates on over 10,000 public servers and is integrated into various applications like Claude, ChatGPT, and VS Code. The Linux Foundation is positioning itself to oversee these foundational protocols, providing stability and shared standards that developers and enterprises seek.
