The vulnerability has been linked to highly sophisticated attacks targeting specific individuals, with Apple confirming that it may have been exploited in conjunction with two other flaws fixed in December 2025, CVE-2025-14174 and CVE-2025-43529.

Apple fixed the vulnerability in recent updates: iOS 18.7.5, iPadOS 18.7.5, macOS Tahoe 26.3, tvOS 26.3, watchOS 26.3, and visionOS 26.3. While details on the attack's specifics remain limited, Googleβs Threat Analysis Group discovered the vulnerability.
