The initiative includes a four-week seminar on Western civilization as part of the fellowship experience. Matteo Zanini is one of the first recipients of this fellowship. He initially found the idea of skipping college to join Palantir surprising but ultimately decided to pursue the opportunity. Despite receiving an acceptance letter from Brown University and a full-ride scholarship from the Department of Defense, he chose the fellowship instead. His decision faced unanimous disapproval from peers and educators, but his parents allowed him to make the final call. At 18, he opted for a hands-on experience at Palantir over a traditional college education, reflecting a growing trend of questioning the value of a degree in the tech industry.
