TikTok has launched a new feature called bulletin board, designed to enhance direct communication between creators and their fans. This channel allows creators to broadcast updates, share exclusive content, and foster community engagement. The bulletin board operates as a one-to-many communication tool, making it easy for creators to keep their followers informed and connected.
During its beta phase, a variety of creators, including artists, publishers like People Magazine, and the Paris Saint-Germain football team, tested the feature. Musicians can leverage the bulletin board to promote new tracks or albums, inviting fans to pre-save releases. TikTok's integration with music streaming services simplifies this process, allowing followers to add new music effortlessly.
Setting up a bulletin board is straightforward. Creators can access it via their inbox, choose a name, and toggle visibility on their profiles. Followers can access a creator's bulletin board through their profile and will receive notifications for new posts, which they can engage with using emoji reactions. To ensure a safe environment, TikTok enforces Community Guidelines and offers tools for muting, blocking, and reporting content.
Currently, the bulletin board feature is available to creators aged 18 and older with at least 50,000 followers. This initiative aims to empower creators to deepen their interactions and grow their communities on the platform.
