Visa and Aldar have launched a voice-enabled payment system that allows customers to pay real estate service charges through an AI agent on the Live Aldar mobile app. The first transaction was completed using an Emirates NBD Darna Visa Credit Card. This technology aims to simplify routine payments, giving customers a convenient option while ensuring they retain control and transparency.
The integration combines Aldar's digital platform with Visa's Intelligent Commerce APIs, which facilitate secure, AI-initiated transactions. Features like tokenization protect customer data during these transactions. Aldar plans to expand this capability, allowing Visa cardholders in the UAE to use the AI agent for payments on both the Live Aldar app and website, with more features expected by 2026.
Aldar's Chief Digital Officer, Harry Nakichbandi, emphasized that this system enhances the customer experience by making payments secure and nearly instantaneous. Visa's Senior VP, Godfrey Sullivan, pointed out that this collaboration represents a significant step in developing trusted agent-initiated transactions, while Emirates NBD's Rohit Garg highlighted the importance of their ongoing partnership to deliver secure digital payment solutions.
