AI is reshaping collaboration in organizations, but many are not seeing the expected benefits. A study by Forrester Consulting, commissioned by Miro, surveyed 518 decision-makers to assess the integration of AI in team workflows. While 90% of leaders prioritize improving collaboration and aligning AI with impactful use cases, most current implementations focus on individual productivity rather than enhancing team efforts. A significant 82% of respondents expressed interest in AI solutions that boost team productivity. The findings emphasize the importance of digital canvases for effective teamwork. Over half of the decision-makers recognize AI's potential to improve collaboration within these visual tools. Around 79% of organizations have increased their use of digital collaboration tools, with 43% deeming them critical for workflows. Despite this shift, challenges persist, particularly with fragmented communication and siloed technologies. Almost half of the respondents struggle with prioritizing initiatives, which hampers their ability to achieve organizational goals like revenue growth and enhancing customer value. Product development teams are leading the charge in integrating AI, focusing on areas such as customer journey mapping and technical documentation. The survey highlights that successful AI strategies require alignment with business objectives, effective communication across the enterprise, and a disciplined approach to implementation. Without a strong connection to broader goals, AI efforts often remain limited and localized, failing to deliver significant impact.
