Adobe Firefly has integrated OpenAI’s GPT-Image 1.5 model, marking a significant step in its AI-driven offerings. To celebrate the launch, Firefly Pro and Premium subscribers can generate unlimited images using this model until January 15. This integration aligns with Adobe's broader strategy of enhancing its software suite with AI features, which recently included updates to Photoshop, Express, and Acrobat, as well as new video editing tools.
Firefly provides access to various AI models from companies like OpenAI and Google, in addition to Adobe's in-house models. It's embedded in several Adobe products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom. Generative credits are the currency for using these AI features, with different subscription tiers offering varying amounts: the Standard plan provides 2,000 credits for $9.99/month, the Pro plan offers 4,000 credits for $19.99/month, and the Premium plan costs $199.99/month for 50,000 credits.
Generative credits are consumed each time a user creates content, whether it's images, vectors, videos, or audio. For instance, generating a single image through Firefly's Text to Image feature will deduct a specific number of credits from a user's account. This model allows users to leverage advanced AI capabilities while managing costs associated with image generation and other creative outputs.
