If you do, here's more
Claude and Codex are now available for Copilot Pro+ and Copilot Enterprise users on GitHub. These coding agents can be accessed through GitHub's web platform, mobile app, and VS Code. Users can initiate sessions and assign tasks directly from issues, pull requests, or the new Agents tab. There are no extra subscription fees involved; access to Claude and Codex comes with existing Copilot plans. Each session counts as one premium request during the public preview.
To enable these agents, Copilot Pro+ subscribers need to adjust their settings to allow Claude and Codex access to specific repositories. For Enterprise users, administrators must enable the agents at both the enterprise and organization levels. Once activated, users can create agent sessions via the Agents tab on GitHub.com or the mobile app. They can type requests, select the desired agent, and monitor progress in real-time.
Users can also assign agents to specific issues or pull requests. Agents will automatically begin work on assigned tasks, generating draft pull requests for review. In the pull request interface, users can interact with agents, leave comments, and request changes by tagging them. In VS Code, the agent sessions can be initiated through the chat icon or Command Palette, with options for local, cloud, or background tasks depending on the user's needs.
