Apple TV has introduced a new sonic logo, crafted by Finneas, known for his work with Billie Eilish. This sound, referred to as a mnemonic, comes in three versions: a five-second ident, a one-second sting, and a longer ten-second version designed for movie theater previews. The logo features soothing electronic tones followed by gentle piano notes, a stark contrast to the previous, more jarring sound associated with Apple TV.
David Taylor, Appleβs Head of Music, emphasized the brand's desire for a sound that captures creativity and storytelling. He praised Finneas for delivering an original piece that feels cinematic and inviting. Alongside the sonic logo, Apple TV has also rolled out a vibrant new animated opening bumper featuring the Apple logo, signaling a shift in Apple's branding approach. This rebranding effort hints at a more playful direction after years of a more serious aesthetic.
