Anthropic is launching Claude Code in Slack, enabling developers to perform coding tasks directly within chat threads. This beta feature, available for research preview starting Monday, enhances the existing Slack integration by automating entire workflows. Previously, Claude offered limited coding assistance, like writing snippets and debugging. Now, developers can initiate full coding sessions by tagging @Claude, which uses the context from Slack conversations—such as bug reports and feature requests—to analyze relevant messages, determine the appropriate repository, and provide updates within threads.
