Bhutan has launched a new gold-backed token called TER, running on the Solana blockchain and issued through Gelephu Mindfulness City. This initiative is part of Bhutan's broader strategy to integrate digital assets into its economy. The token is backed by physical gold and managed by DK Bank, Bhutan's first licensed digital bank. Investors can acquire TER directly from DK Bank, combining the traditional approach to asset purchasing with the advantages of blockchain technology, such as transparency and digital custody.
