The Erase object tool lets users remove unwanted elements from images, while Isolate object enables them to adjust or reposition individual items without disturbing the background. This is particularly useful for tasks like enhancing product shots or refining visuals for marketing. The Expand image feature addresses the challenge of adapting images to various formats. Instead of cropping and potentially distorting images, users can now extend the background to fit new aspect ratios, maintaining the integrity of the visuals. This is especially beneficial for creating assets like web banners from square images, ensuring that text and design elements align properly without losing context. These updates are part of a broader effort to enhance Figma’s image editing capabilities, which already include features like Remove background and AI image generation. The new editing tools will be accessible to users on Professional, Organization, and Enterprise plans with AI enabled.
