Apple has rolled out updates to the Measure app in iOS 26.2 beta 2, enhancing the Level tool with a new Liquid Glass visual effect. This update introduces chromatic aberrations and a distortion effect that activate when the level indicator crosses the horizon. Instead of the previous flat circles, users will now see two Liquid Glass circles that deform the background grid and level number as they approach the 0º mark. The aesthetic upgrade aims to make the Level tool visually striking, even if it's not one of the most frequently used features.
In response to user feedback, Apple released a subsequent update in iOS 26.2 beta 3. This version addresses visibility issues, ensuring that the inclination value remains visible even when the level crosses the horizon. Users can now see the exact measurement at all times, which improves functionality alongside the new visual style. While the Liquid Glass effect may not significantly change how users interact with the Level tool, it certainly adds a modern touch to the interface.
