Adobe's Future of Skills survey highlights the growing importance of AI and creativity in the job market. Conducted among 2,000 individuals, the survey reveals that 44% consider creativity essential for future employment, while 38% emphasize the need for AI skills. Alarmingly, 19% feel unprepared in both creative and digital competencies necessary for a future increasingly influenced by AI.
At the Adobe Max conference in Los Angeles, Simon Morris, Adobe's VP of International Marketing, pointed out the urgency for workers to adapt. He noted that staying too long in one job can hinder skill development, as those who aren't actively seeking new opportunities are 50% less likely to feel ready to use AI tools. In response, Adobe is expanding its Digital Academy across the UK, offering flexible training in creative, digital, and AI skills. The aim is to equip 30 million people by 2030, using platforms like YouTube and LinkedIn, while also collaborating with organizations like The Kingβs Trust to reach a broader audience.
