Microsoft and Amazon are backing the Gain AI Act, legislation aimed at restricting Nvidia's chip exports to China. Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, is actively engaging with political figures, including former President Trump, to influence AI policy. The company has ramped up its lobbying budget to nearly $3.5 million in the first three quarters of the year, a significant increase from just $640,000 in all of 2024. Meanwhile, other major players in tech, such as Meta and Google, have yet to take a definitive stance on the proposed legislation.
