Its technology is now employed by major names in the industry, including Adobe, Picsart, and VSCO. The latest product from the lab, Flux 2, is an advanced image-generation model that offers improved text and image rendering capabilities and can generate images at resolutions up to 4K pixels. It can reference up to 10 images to maintain style and tone, enhancing the quality of its outputs.
The co-founders of Black Forest Labs—Robin Rombach, Patrick Esser, and Andreas Blattmann—have a background in AI research, previously contributing to the development of Stability AI’s Stable Diffusion models. Their experience positions the company well in a competitive market focused on AI-driven visual content creation.
