Meta has launched a significant software update for its AI glasses just in time for the holiday season. The v21 update enhances user experience by introducing two key features: Conversation Focus and a new music integration with Spotify. The Conversation Focus feature allows users to amplify the voice of someone they’re talking to in noisy environments, like busy restaurants or crowded events. This is particularly useful for maintaining clear communication amidst distractions. Users can adjust the amplification level easily by swiping the right temple of the glasses or through their device settings.
The new Spotify integration offers a unique way to enjoy music based on visual cues. Users can simply say, “Hey Meta, play a song to match this view,” prompting the AI to create a personalized playlist that fits the current scene or album cover they’re looking at. This feature combines computer vision with Spotify's music personalization capabilities, enhancing the overall experience of using the glasses. Currently, these features are available to those in the Early Access Program for the Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta HSTN models in the US and Canada, with some limitations on language and regions for the music feature.
