If you do, here's more
Most organizations are still experimenting with AI rather than fully integrating it into their operations. A McKinsey survey found that nearly two-thirds of respondents have not scaled AI across their enterprises. While 62% are trying out AI agents, the benefits at the enterprise level are limited. Only 39% of respondents reported any EBIT impact from AI, and for many, this impact is less than 5% of their EBIT. However, the use of AI is seen as a driver of innovation, with 64% noting that it supports their efforts in this area.
High-performing organizations tend to use AI more strategically. About 80% of respondents aim for efficiency from AI initiatives, but those seeing the most significant benefits also focus on growth and innovation. These high performers redesign workflows and push for transformative changes. They are three times more likely to report substantial value derived from AI, indicating that ambition and a broader vision can lead to greater success. The survey highlights a divide between organizations merely testing AI and those using it as a catalyst for significant transformation.
