Google Research has launched the Amplify Initiative, a community-driven data platform aimed at scaling data collection in multiple languages to enhance generative AI's ability to address local needs. The initiative focuses on creating high-quality, culturally relevant datasets through collaboration with domain experts, starting with a pilot project in Sub-Saharan Africa and plans for expansion into Latin America and South and Southeast Asia.
