Fambot is a new startup tackling the organizational chaos of parenting. Co-founded by Greg Karlin (former Instagram engineer), David Reich (ex-Uber product head), and Jason Morrow (Google and LinkedIn veteran), the company built an AI assistant that pulls together email, calendar, and WhatsApp groups to generate daily checklists and upcoming schedules for families. Reich's frustration with spending an hour each evening just catching up on emails while neglecting his three kids sparked the whole thing. The core problem is real: parents juggle school apps, sports club notifications, flyers, group chats, and email all scattered across different platforms.
What sets Fambot apart from other AI agents like Poke or Instinct is that it works through a web app and mobile interface, not just text messaging. This lets them build more sophisticated features than text-only competitors can manage. Users can still text the bot if they want, but the software-based approach gives them room to eventually integrate with school systems, sports platforms, and club apps—turning Fambot into a central hub rather than just another chatbot. The company uses multiple AI models but with a hard rule: none of them can train on user data.
The beta testing revealed something useful: the product appeals beyond just dual-income parents drowning in logistics. Single-parent households, families with one child, and non-working parents all found value in it. Reich points to 43 million U.S. families with kids under 16 as the addressable market. Fambot raised $3.5 million in pre-seed funding from NextView Ventures and Baukunst, among others. It's free during beta on iOS, Android, and web, with plans to charge Netflix-tier pricing later—though they're keeping that flexible.
